💼 Job Overview: Graduate Electrical & Mechanical Engineers

Job Title: Graduate Electrical & Mechanical Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria
Experience Level: 0–3 years (post-NYSC)
Qualification: BSc/B.Eng./HND in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
Industry: Cocoa Processing / Agro-processing / Food and Beverage Manufacturing

🔧 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Installation & Commissioning Phase

  • Assist senior engineers and OEM technicians with mechanical assembly and instrumentation setup.

  • Support PLC wiring, I/O testing, and calibration procedures.

  • Participate in performance testing aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Prepare SOPs, as-built technical drawings, and preventive maintenance plans.

🔹 Operations & Maintenance (Post-Commissioning)

  • Conduct daily equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical drives, pneumatic systems, CIP units, and hydraulic machinery.

  • Execute root cause analyses for system failures and develop corrective strategies.

  • Collaborate with production teams to train operators on safe equipment handling.

  • Support continuous improvement projects related to energy efficiency and machine performance.


🎓 Minimum Qualifications

  • A BSc, B.Eng., or HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Successful completion of NYSC.

  • 0–3 years of post-NYSC work experience (including SIWES or internship).

  • Strong foundation in engineering principles and a desire to grow in the food and beverage sector.


🌟 Desirable Skills (Added Advantage)

While not mandatory, experience with any of the following will enhance your application:

  • PLC/HMI programming and industrial automation.

  • Rotating equipment, motor control centres, or process piping.

  • Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

  • Internship or project experience in FMCG, agro-processing, beverages, or power generation industries.
