🔧 Job Summary

As a Graduate Trainee Operator, you will play an essential role in the soya oil production line. You’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining key machinery such as cleaners, dehullers, and extruders to ensure efficient processing of soya beans into high-quality oil. The role involves adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and equipment optimization.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Operate Machinery: Run soya processing equipment (cleaners, dehullers, extruders) with precision.

• Monitor Production: Ensure consistent processing of soya beans into refined oil products.

• Quality Control: Conduct frequent quality checks and adjust machine settings to meet standards.

• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Identify and fix mechanical faults. Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep systems running smoothly.

• Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to GMP, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and comply with health and safety regulations.

• Process Optimization: Suggest and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.

• Documentation: Record equipment logs, production output, quality metrics, and maintenance reports.

• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, hygienic workspace according to SOP and GMP requirements.

👤 Candidate Requirements

Educational Qualification

• B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Food Processing, Industrial Technology, or related field.

• Additional certifications in food processing or manufacturing will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 0–3 years of relevant experience in soya oil or general food processing operations.

Skills & Competencies

• Solid understanding of soya oil processing and related equipment.

• Familiarity with automated control systems (PLC) is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise quality checks.

• Proficient in maintaining documentation and production records.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
